This project came to mind over the weekend while reading Lewis Carroll's (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson's) "Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There" (pub. 1872), the sequel to "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" (pub. 1866). "Through the Look-Glass" was a darker story than the original adventure of Alice, as this piece had been written during his years of depression following his father's death.
I've been researching various illustrated versions of "Alice" lately and have been dying to try my hand at a line from the book. The narrative text for this piece is stylized from Materials used: Cold press watercolor paper India ink acrylic paints several glasses of scotch and honey for the long nights or work Size: 14 x 11 in. |

I was hiding, but I found myself. Can you find me too? - MB
In my opinion there are a bit too many colours in this piece, but well, it fits to Alice in Wonderland.
I really like the way you did the white Queen!
It is very unique done!
